Syncing of large datasets

Depending on Internet connectivity this could take an extended period of time, particularly when projects for off-line use are downloaded for the first time. The device going to sleep while performing a download can cause issues which result in the download on completing successfully.

The following steps/setting should be invoked to ensure that the device stays awake during the data synchronisation process:

1. Ensure that the device is connected to a charger

On IOS Devices:

1. On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch open the Settings.
   
2. Select ‘Display & Brightness’ from the menu.
3. Then select the ‘Auto-Lock’ option.
   
4. Set this to Never

On Android:

This process involves enabling Developer Mode. If you do not have full administrator permissions on your device, you may not be able to perform the following steps. 

1. Enter Settings
2. Select 'About Device'
3. Select 'Software Info'
4. Tap on the Build Number section 7 times
   
   Developer options are now enable and will show in the Settings area. The final steps are:

6. Select 'Developer Options'
7. Set 'Stay Awake' to on.
