| Konect Manger | There are several significant changes to underlying software components, and as a result, users will not receive an automatic prompt to signal that a new version is available as has happened with previous releases. Instead, an email will be sent notifying of the official V5.07 release and a download link will be provided. The update MUST BE RUN MANUALLY, but is not a mandatory update, so the install can be done at any time. The release of future updates to Konect Manager will revert to the previously used automated upgrade process. Version 5.07 of Konect Manager will require the previous version to be UNINSTALLED before installing the new version. Component changes impacting non-functional aspects of Konect Manager have been implemented to improve security, futureproof the product and provide improved performance for large datasets. | Konect App | There are significant changes to GPS functionality allowing the use of external, high accuracy GPS antennas. Users must be on the latest konect version found on the appropriate app stores to access the new GPS functionality. Following the scheduled release, if you do not have the latest app store version installed on your device, all GPS features will be unavailable until the upgrade is completed. External GPS antennas will only be compatible on Android devices when using konect. A general procedure for setting up an external Bluetooth GPS on an Android device for use with the konect app is:

Konect Manager Konect App | New feature to skip rendering a child dataset (that uses copy geomerty) on the map. This will improve rendering speed for large child datasets that use copy geometry linking. This new setting can be found in the linking settings for a child dataset, and is only available for copy geometry linked child datasets. | KO-1040 |
Konect Manager Konect App | New feature to get copy values directly from a parent dataset without performing a geometry intersection on the copy value dataset. This will improve creation speed of new features that contain copy values from large parent datasets with many co-located features. This new setting can be found in the copy value field settings and is only available to copy value fields that are copied from the parent dataset when the linking is a copy geometry link. | KO-1040 |
Konect Manager Konect App | Child datasets will not be searched when using the map attributes tool. This means child records that do not have a parent in a project will not be accessible from the project. The record will be accessible from the data tab in Konect Manager. | KO-1040 |
