How to create parent and child lists in Konect
As per the Konect user guide, CSV files need to be created and imported to establish the parent – child list concept
For parent lists, UniqueValue and DisplayValue need to exist
For child lists, “ParentUniqueValue” is required to establish the parent child link
Once the parent list is imported into the Konect Manager, importing the child list will display this custom screen to establish the parent – child relationship
Define a name for the list
Once imported view of the parent – child relationship will exist in Konect Manager
Once done, add this list to a konect dataset
Add a new field to a form – NB: two fields need to be added to make the child form option available
Once associated the parent – child list values will display against the form
Rename fields in order to make meaningful – basically select an initial type then a secondary associated list will appear
