How to reset Konect Manager
Overview
This article explains how to reset Konect Manager by launching it with the -r switch from the Windows Run dialog. Resetting can help resolve a range of issues, including problems with login, configuration, or unexpected application behaviour.
When to use this
Use these steps if:
Konect Manager is not behaving as expected.
You have been advised by support to perform a reset.
You need to clear the application's current state and start fresh.
Before you begin
Close Konect Manager if it is currently open.
Make a note of any settings you may need to re-enter after the reset.
Steps
Step 1 — Open the Run dialog
Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard and press R. A small window titled "Run" will appear in the bottom-left of the screen.
Step 2 — Run Konect Manager with the -r switch
Konect Manager can be installed in one of two locations. Try the first command below by copying and pasting it into the Run dialog, then click OK (or press Enter):
"C:\Program Files\Global GBM\Konect\Konect Manager\Konect.Manager.Shell.exe" -rIf a message appears saying Windows cannot find the file, the application is installed in the other location. Open the Run dialog again (Windows key + R) and try this command instead:
"C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Programs\Global GBM\Konect\Konect Manager\Konect.Manager.Shell.exe" -rNothing in this command needs to be changed — Windows will automatically substitute the current user's name where it says %USERNAME%.
Important: The quotation marks at the start and end of the path must be included. They are required because the folder names contain spaces.
Troubleshooting
If neither command works, please contact support and include:
The exact message displayed by Windows.
The version of Windows in use (for example, Windows 10 or Windows 11).
Whether Konect Manager was installed for the current user only or for all users.
